Do you ever feel comfortless? Do you ever wonder where the Lord is during a crisis or unimaginable loss? Have you ever felt frustrated when people say, “Oh, the Lord is right there even if you can’t feel Him.”
The Bible explains it clearly!
Mat 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you
Act 17:27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:
Act 17:28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.
I have on occasion, when the battle is fierce, felt for him. Much like when I’m missing something in a drawer and I reach way back to the rear, back where I can’t see, to feel for that item I can’t find.
Perhaps it was in that drawer all along, but I didn’t make the effort to reach for it until I needed it.
I trust Him daily. I believe He saved me. I try to walk according to His word, but there are those times when heartache and brokenness are a distraction. I have been lonely and worried about my children and grandchildren to the point that my focus was on them, rather than on the presence of the Lord. It is those times I remember John 14:18 says I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. Jesus was basically saying, “I will not leave you orphans, fatherless or grieving!”
Comfortless
G3737 Strong’s Greek Exhaustive Concordance
bereaved (“orphan”), that is, parentless: – comfortless, fatherless.
Thankfully, it is at those times, when the Holy Ghost comforts us like a newborn swaddled by its mother. He lets us know what is right and what is wrong!
Thank the Lord, the Holy Ghost lives in us to comfort, correct, and empower us. The Holy Ghost is the spirit of truth; he will not lie, demean, backbite, or leave us.
Joh 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
Joh 16:14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
Joh 16:15 All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
Are you broken, grieving, empty, or lonely? Ask Jesus to come live in your heart, and He will never, ever leave you. Trust Him to bring people into your life to be a blessing, and trust Him if he says no….not this one. He will lead you and guide you into all truth if you listen! You are not alone
