The Bible says when the enemy comes in, like a flood the Lord will raise up a standard against him. I’m sure everyone reading this today can relate. Being from Massieville, my first instinct is “fight or flight.” When the enemy uses family, friends, and fellow Christians it’s very hard to see the puppetmaster behind it all. Those are the weapons of his warfare. Sometimes I forget to use the weapons I’ve been given in this warfare. Sometimes, as in any battle we look for allies but they are few. Honestly, there have been times when I didn’t trust anyone anymore. Pure stupidity took me out of ministry, out of the church, and away from singing. Thankfully the Lord arrives, always waving His standard over my life. Whispering get up, – you can do it- and I always ask are you sure Lord. Are you sure I can’t just hide here away from the slings and arrows? The funny thing is, hiding away doesn’t stop them. Because He loves me I am here. I am standing, and I am trusting God. I will share the word he gives me in every forum I can. Im not sure if I will ever preach from a pulpit again, but if he asks me to I will! Stay tuned! You may get a surprise in the new future.
Why would I share this? I share this for those of you who battle and for some reason, you think preachers and singers are above it. They are not. We are all human! Satan is an enemy to all of us, and obviously, he uses the same tactics on all of us. How do we know what the enemies’ plan is if no one ever shares? If the Army never spoke of the enemies’ tactics, they would surely be beaten, as we all face because we try so hard to be strong for others. Friends, I am only strong in Jesus! Your only strength is Jesus! I can only stand if Im standing in Him! I can only fight if Im wearing HIS armor! His Armor is a study the Lord has laid on my heart so watch for it, it’s coming soon
