The scripture says, that Jesus is the author of our faith. So why do we consult other sources when we need direction? People make millions of dollars writing and producing shows, books, and study helps to disprove what God said in His word.
Heb 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
Heb 12:2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him, endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Besides being the writer of something, “author” means an originator or creator of something, especially a plan or idea.
Jesus authored this wonderful Salvation, and He left us with a roadmap and manual if you will. He was the Living Word. His life is our prime example of how to get through this life. We follow this person and that site, or gospel group but do we follow Jesus? I want to focus on the Living Word and know beyond a shadow of a doubt that I’m ready to meet Him when he returns.
