The prefix RE means to do again. The idea of Rebuilding is frightening and exciting all at the same time. The thought that somewhere along the way we lost focus on the Power it will take to get us through this life is daunting. Breaking through the hard shell the flesh has created to protect its self takes a power much greater than our own! Just like a seed growing up and breaking through the pavement covering it. The tiny plant will push toward the light – finding any opening to reach the sunlight.
Being restored is a fight. We must push through this hardshell of flesh! We have to seek God, much like that tiny plant that comes up from the darkness to find a tiny speck of light. Where do we find the light? How do we push through this flesh?
Rom 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God.
Yes! By the word of God! Study it, read it, and believe it.
Jud 1:20 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Jud 1:21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
BUILDING yourselves up ON your faith! We have no foundation without Faith!
Again like the tiny plant buried under such heavy darkness still pushes toward even a glimmer of the sunlight! Jesus is our light and His word is a lamp on our pathway!
We began with Faith that Jesus died on the Cross, rose from the dead, and lives forevermore. We are saved by that Faith – we have to rebuild – renew and restore the faith we had in the beginning!
