John 1:1 In the Beginning was the Word

1. Foundation

1Co 3:11  For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

We can’t begin to build until the foundation is set! The safety of the building depends on a solid foundation. Looking back, I wonder when my foundation changed. When did mans’ acceptance of me become my foundation? I know that there is no man, no church, no doctrine, no creed, nothing in this world that can be my foundation outside of Jesus!  The need to be accepted can become a lust or desire above pleasing God if we are not careful!

People wear themselves out obtaining awards, trying to excel only to prove their worth to an individual who will never see it. Awards and diplomas are great if they are won to improve your own self-esteem or worth.  those who do not value you now, won’t value your accomplishments either.

Is God pleased with me? Have I done all I can to be what he wants me to be? No diploma will commend me to God if my heart is set on pleasing someone else!

My goal is to set my foundation with repentance and making a genuine effort to always seek God first!
