My Review
I loved the initial presentation, with the small perfume bottle, gift wrapping, and the lovely bag. My first impression was positive. I liked the connections the writer begins with regarding the extraction of aromas and their many uses, and I was excited to read about disease treatments and other uses of perfumed oils! I like the suggested correlation between natural scents and the spiritual realm, sexual references notwithstanding! The idea of scents and aromas opened a whole new line of purposeful study for me.
The presentation was marred by the many sexual descriptions. The descriptions of unmarried sexual encounters and sex organs prompted me to recommend a warning to parents. Christians do not engage in sexual exhibitionism and they certainly should not write about sexual exploits in reference to the Spirit of God – as if God were a sexual Partner.
