The Angel asked: why seek ye the living among the dead?
Can you imagine what she thought? This is where she remembered leaving Him. This is where the dead are. He was dead! She saw them take Him off the cross, carry Him here and leave Him! When news came that the stone had been rolled away, several ran to see. The announcement that Jesus wasn’t in the graveyard anymore came as quit a surprise. The Angel then told them to go – to where Jesus was going to be.
Jesus won’t be found in a graveyard. He is not in rituals and traditions. He does not come to where we are because we have a new dress. He comes because we believe! We do not have to be in a church, and we do not have to be on our knees and use special prayers. We have to believe! We have to talk to him and believe he hears us. Today, where you are, you can celebrate Jesus without all the foods, dresses and baskets full of junk food which has nothing to do with Jesus at all.
For me – today I celebrate Jesus. No eggs, no candy, no new dress, just Jesus! He is not in the tomb any longer! He has risen to the right hand of the Father, forever making
intercession for me! Regardless of the traditions you practice, I hope Jesus is at the center of it! I hope Jesus is the focus and I hope you are looking for Him to come back again any day now. I hope you are getting ready to meet Him, like a bride does her husband. I hope Jesus is your love and you live to please Him. Do not look back into dead works, or dead things for the relationship you once had! Look to Jesus today, for a new day, and a better relationship as you yield yourself to him, not just in church but every day everywhere!
