John 1:1 In the Beginning was the Word

Meditations

I often meditate on the goodness and mercy of God. I contemplate the long journey He brought me on to get from the bar stool to being His child at a ripe old age of 68! I don’t understand the depth of his love and grace. I can dwell on it until he returns and never be able to fully understand!
In my meditations, the Lord said to me, “by your words, you will be justified or condemned.” He emphasized you!” You see I have for years worried about people talking about me badly. There have been many who have. I also seem to agree with them because their hateful words cause depression.
The spirit of God brings light or illumination. When God reminds us of the word it is to bring light to the subject! So, of course, I had to run, get my Bible and let His word speak further. The Bible says Mat 12:37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words, thou shalt be condemned. Those who promote me will not justify me and those who hate me will not condemn me! My own words will do my blessing or condemning for me.
In that same scripture, it talks about good things coming from the good treasure in the heart. In another place, the Bible teaches to search our own hearts and see if the treasures hidden there are good or not. We are told to guard or protect our hearts lest darkness take up root there.
Many find themselves treating others badly without understanding why! The Bible teaches our bad behavior comes from something we have allowed into our heart. It’s up to us to search our hearts daily, and pray for guidance as we shine the light of Gods Word into the deep places of our hearts!
